The process of replacing low beam optics

Proper installation of low beam headlights in a car is the key to success.It is necessary to understand in advance the principles of replacing such elements, so that later there are no difficulties.

To replace the "near" lamp in the Ford Focus 2, you must remove the headlight. This is true for all modifications of the machine.

You will need the following tools:

• long flat screwdriver;
• Torx 30 wrench (if any);
• gloves to protect hands from contamination;
• new headlight bulbs.

The procedure for replacing the low beam lamp Ford Focus 2 dorestyling:

1. Open the hood of the car and use a screwdriver to remove the headlight bracket. At this stage, the headlight itself does not need to be unscrewed.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the special fasteners down to release the block.
3. Move the headlight unit parallel to the movement of the car towards you by swinging. It is important to remember here that the lantern is still hanging on the wires.
4. Move the special latches located on the back of the headlight.
5. Remove the connector and push it out of its place. Here it is necessary to act with the utmost care so as not to damage the wiring of the car with sudden movements.
6. Remove the terminal block from the desired device.
7. Press on the spring retainer and remove the failed consumable.
8. Do not place the old consumable to install a new cartridge.
9. Place a new lamp with an H7 base in the corresponding grooves.

The restyled version of the Ford Focus 2 differs from the old one in that instead of the usual plastic cover with latches, special rubber plugs are installed on the headlight. These elements are much easier to remove, since there is no need to use a screwdriver. Directly under the rubber plugs are updated pads, pressed by a spring clip. It is necessary to squeeze this bracket and fold it from its original position.

A new low beam bulb is installed in place of the burned out one. You will need to clamp it with a spring clip and put the power block on the base contacts. After putting on the boot, the finished lamp can be installed in the car. The headlight slides into place until the latches actuate, and then it is fixed with the upper screw.
