Materials and tools

To create a floor lamp with an isolon flower, you will need the following materials:

• cartridge with a ring;
• electrical cable;
• switch;
• pipe for the base and stem;
• bulb;
• fork;
• dye.

• glue gun;
• scissors;

1. An element with a rounded one side and a sharp second is cut out of isolon.

Coloring isolon may not always come in handy, because the material is sold in different colors, you can buy pink for the petals and green for the leaves. But if white isolon is chosen for work, it can be painted, 3 types of paint are suitable for this:

1. spray can. The main advantage is that spray paint dries quickly and no additional equipment is needed to apply it. True, there are also disadvantages - it can crumble under mechanical stress and is consumed in large quantities.
2. acrylic enamel. The performance characteristics of such a material are better - it does not crumble, and the consumption is quite economical. To work, you need an airbrush, it will help to evenly apply the enamel in a thin layer.
3. rubber paint. It is also better to apply it with a spray gun. An additional advantage is resistance to different temperatures. But it should be noted that rubber paint creates a matte surface, and for the gloss effect, you will have to additionally varnish the product.

In addition to the three main ones, there is another option - automotive enamel. It has good performance properties, but is very expensive.

Advice! When using an airbrush, it is better to paint a ready-made flower. If there is no such tool, the option is to paint each element separately with rubber paint and then collect the flower.

Connecting a cord with a switch and a cartridge

After creating a flower, stem and leaves, it remains only to equip it with a convenient and correct connection to the mains.

If you do not have experience with electricity and certain knowledge in this area, it is better to contact an electrician.

Phased work:

1. Pass the wire with the cartridge on top of the flower.
2. At the next stage, the wire must be passed through the pipe, which has become the base and the stem. When the wire appears from the bottom hole of the pipe, you just need to pull it.
3. A sconce-type switch is connected to the protruding part of the wire through the contacts.
4. A plug is attached to the end of the wire.
